Fresco, part I

Fresco, part I

  • Sharebar

Today, hmm better say yesterday ’cause it is 2 am now I was working on fresco I have begun last week. I just feel tired of watching white walls of my room. And plus I was thinking about developing those zones of Bagua by Feng-Shui I have in my room. And so i decided finally to paint a window on the walls.And I was searching different photos of sky that will be suitable in my room. But could not find anything what I would like. Then at last I remembered about snapshots I made in second Life with different settings of sky. And I found one sky that has name “Salor Moon” or something like that… But anyway it was exactly what I was searching. So I made some variations of that. So my fresco will be like 3 windows with fantastic red-pink sky, clouds and sun…
Last pic is hell in my room …

  3. That looks awesome! Really brings life to what used to be a plain white wall!

    But if you move are you going to cut that section out of the wall and take it with you? ;)

    Just a technical note :)

    In it?s essence, fresco or fresco painting is an ? application of natural mineral pigments to a surface on which a following chemical reaction takes place:

    Ca(OH)2(s) + CO2(g) ?-> CaCO3(s) + H2O(l)

    Calcium Hydrate (burned lime stone or marble mixed with water) combined with carbon dioxide resulting in the formation of Calcium Carbonate ? lime stone, marble. The pigment gets trapped within the newly formed calcite crystal. It is like ?Painting with molten Marble?.
