Since this month Ghirardelli (i.e. me) wants to write a new line in this blog. During this month I‘ve seen lots of interesting movies (“Toy Story 3”, “Harry Potter 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7” (yeah still have not seen 2nd one), “Totoro”, “Spirited Away” (Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi) (2001), “Irreversible” (2002), “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” (2009)
“Megamind” (2010). Here is the top 5 of November.
5. “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” (2009)
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
(Swedish: Män som hatar kvinnor, also known as Men Who Hate Women in English). It is a film adaption of a novel with the same name by Stieg Larsson (Swedish). Is a first book of his Millennium Trilogy. I like this movie with its interesting detective story. However it has its sick moments such as the rape scenes, but I guess it is normal for being a European movie.
A quality of video is amazing, because most of the scenes seems to be more like macro/close-up photography with a changing focus.
Rottentomatos’ tomatometer rates it 86%.
The critical consensus is: “Its graphic violence and sprawling length will prove too much for some viewers to take, but Noomi Rapace’s gripping performance makes The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo an unforgettable viewing experience.”
4. Megamind (2010)
Animated superhero comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and Red Hour Productions, and distributed by Paramount Pictures. If you want to relax and spend a good time with a family/friends – this is really it. Grab you all of them and don’t be greedy to buy a tickets for 3D seance, ‘cause it is really costs it. Story simple and truthful regarding heroes.
Rottentomatos’ tomatometer rates it 69%.
Critic Frank Wilkins tells: “The lively cast and interesting flip on the superhero concept make it a fun time at the movies for all ages.”
3. HP 7 (2010)
Harry Potter 7
“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” Part 1 (2010)
Epic fantasy film directed by David Yates, written by Steve Kloves and based on the novel of the same name by J. K. Rowling.
I am surely not a fan of this movie/novels, however this one I liked. And in this part I finally see the good play of Emma Watson, ‘cause in previous ones for me it was more like an antics. Only one time during of the film I lost some parts of the conversations, when the old woman on the wedding was talking I was lost in thoughts about her make-up, is it really – all old ladies use so vulgar a make-up, but then I was back when remembered a queen of UK. And I was really sad when the Dobby was killed by Bellatrix. Ah, and I am pretty sure each girl dreams to have small hand-bag with big capability like Hermione does.
Rottentomatos’ tomatometer rates it 79%.
James Plath: “It may be the scariest, but it’s also one of the strongest in the series.”
2. Spirited Away (2001)
Spirited Away (千と千尋の神隠し Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi?, literally, Sen and The Spiriting Away of Chihiro) is a 2001 Japaneseanimated fantasy-adventure film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. One of the coolest greatest fabulous cartoons. Amazing in story and creating way. And it is so true about it: Many of episods become understandable after repeating watching of the film. In generally I’ve seen it before, and this year already a few times. But I am waiting when I get the original dvd in English right now have Japanese/Spanish version only. The Takahashi Korekiyo residence in the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum was an inspiration for Miyazaki. Anyway when I see it it seems to me I’ve been there, at least I saw this building in my dreams.
Rottentomatos’ tomatometer rates it 97%.
1. Toy Story 3 (2010)
Toy Story 3
It is the third and currently final feature-length film in the Toy Story series. The film was produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures.
The story, characters, everything is fantastic. Wanna to awake some memories and get a sweet tears on your cheeks that is the right movie to watch. I’ve been dying waiting the dvd release on November.
Rottentomatos’ tomatometer rates it 99%.
The critical consensus is: Deftly blending comedy, adventure, and honest emotion, Toy Story 3 is a rare second sequel that really works.
I am Ghirardelli and I am dreaming about a girl. Once I was in love with a beautiful lady, hmm well she was a baby-lady. But hse was very very pretty. Though she even didn’t have a name. Here her picture:
I am still watching her pictures that Yulia took and remember the time few weeks while she was here with me. So sad she was a present for a small girl.
Then I had a time of thinking of my life, and making friends over here, missing my home city – San-Francisco, missing my friends and most of Chocolate Ghirardelli. Month ago my dad was in NY and he promised me to find a girl. I truly believed he would bring her. He did brought me a girl as he said, but she is a piece of art (“Girl with many eyes” by Tim Burton), she is not a person. It’s same as he brought me “Mona Lisa”.
She is a wonderful toy, but she is not my girlfriend.
Now all last days I was thinking about a dream-girl for me. Who may it be… And I stepped upon flickr images of fabulous dolls: Blythe Doll… So cute girls… But I am not sure if my humans buy me her (price $40 – 200). However Yulia likes them too. So everything is possible.
Then I looked more and found girls with chicken faces with brand-name – Dall ( price – $31.99 – 120). Yulia likes them too. But i should search the size of them, ’cause what if they are taller than me, or too small.
Meanwhile I am searching the height as of Blythe as of Dall, I saw elder sisters of Dall – Pullip ( $31.99 – 155.99). About this one Yulia said cute. And I think she looks like Scarlett Johansson, same as Yulia’s mom said me.
And then I found one unbelievable beautiful doll Supia – Yisol. Well I began to look for the price of this one, and found she sells by $375. But she is soo amazing, however don’t much me by size, she is 42,5 cm.
Well I saw many girls by internet, but still cant decide which one be my dream-girl. Well time will show, may be it will be a teddy bear… Ok, we will see it
